Adventure Racing, also known as Raids, Quests and Multisport, is a sport that includes sprints of a few hours through Expeditions of many days. Natural terrain obstacles such as mountains, deserts, rivers and oceans are common. Individuals and teams of 2, 3 or 4 use any means of non-motorized transport to navigate distances up to 1,000 km or more. Sprint Adventure Races were popularized in the 1980’s and 1990’s introducing man-made obstacles, fewer disciplines, less equipment and shorter distances. Originally popularized by the Raid Gauloises, Eco-Challenge, MSOQ, Primal Quest, and The Amazing Race. The Sport of Adventure Racing is managed and administered by the Adventure Racing Standing Committee.

Ninja is a sport with competitions and events where individuals and teams compete on Ninja Warrior style obstacles. Competitions are held on courses between 25 m and 200 m long with 4 or more Ninja Warrior obstacles, as head-to-head races or timed competitions. Disciplines in Ninja include speed, endurance, and technical formats. Events have been popularized by the American Ninja Warrior, Ultimate Beastmaster and Sasuke television show competitions in 160 countries. A billion people worldwide follow these shows.
The Sport of Ninja is managed and administered by the Ninja Standing Committee.

Also known as Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), Obstacle Racing is a sport with disciplines including Sprints, Track, Cross Country, Ultra, Set-time, Beach, and Mountain. Each discipline included events with distances from 100m to 100 km, and categories for individuals and teams (relasy and collaboration).
There are over 2,500 obstacle races worldwide and brands such as Tough Viking, Toughest, Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, and Strong Viking have multiple races, series and championships.
The Sport of Ninja is managed and administered by the OCR Standing Committee.
Hybrid Racing, also known as “Combine’s” and “Fitness Racing” is a sport typically run on 160 to 1,000-meter multiple lap courses and include obstacles that test upper body, lower body, grip and total strength, including functional exercises. These events originated as and the Civilian Military Combine in the early 2010s as mass start events typically with 8 or more people at a time.
Popular competitions include Deka Fit, Tough Mudder X (TMx), Hyrox, Spartan Crossfit Challenge. These events are designed to be spectator friendly, with exciting, head to head racing.
Calisthenics is a sport that uses a person's own body weight as resistance such as Push-ups, Pull-ups, Dips, Burpees, Squats, Lunges, Planks, often using bars and frames.
The World Street Workout and Calisthenics Federation (WSWCF) is the international governing body for the competitive sport of Calisthenics. WSWCF and FISO signed and Memorandum of Understanding for integration at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland during the MEI Host City Summit in June 2024.
