Standing Committees
Each obstacle sport is managed by a Standing Committee that functions as an independent international organization representing, managing, guiding, and supporting their associations and communities.
In accordance with section 3.9 of the FISO General Statutes, the Standing Committees are responsible for creating the policies, guidelines and systems for developing each obstacle sport and to work with all committees to implement development programs and events in each sport discipline. Sub-committees, if appointed, investigate, study, and recommend to the Standing Committee any matters referred. The members of a sub-committee may be persons selected from inside, or outside a Standing Committee. Members of the FISO Central Board are members of each Standing Committee with voice but no vote.
