World Obstacle relocates to the Olympic Capital in Lausanne, Switzerland
Fédération Internationale de Sports d’Obstacles (FISO) is thrilled to announce its new headquarter in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital. The official governing body of obstacle sports, which uses the commercial name World Obstacle, has settled in the Maison du Sport International “MSI” since January 2021, joining over fifty international sports organisations that have already made Lausanne and the surrounding regions of Vaud their home.
World Obstacle established its domicile in Switzerland in 2018 with the goal of increasing the representation of obstacle sports, including Ninja, OCR and Adventure Racing throughout the world and to continue working to meet the requirements as specified by the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee. It is in line with other recent developments coming from the federation, including its rebranding, the launch of a new website, an increase of social media presence and virtual championships.
Ian Adamson, President of World Obstacle (FISO), commented: “On 23-28 May, FISO plans to attend the SportAccord Convention, the annual meeting of all international sports organizations, with a goal of obtaining final approval as a member of GAISF. Last year’s meeting was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic and rescheduled in Ekaterinburg, Russia.”
The new address is:
